"As Fanfest 2011 approaches we are offering players the opportunity to win a fantastic VIP tour of the CCP offices in Reykjavik. As always, this tour will be conducted by our CEO, Hilmar Veigar Pétursson, with the winner receiving a tour of all departments, lunch with the Devs and a bunch of cool goodies will be provided to the winner. The tour will be held on Wednesday, March 23 from approximately 10:30 to 13:00 UTC.
Our annual office tour is part of the Fanfest drive for charity and this year we are proud to support Get Well Gamers, a charity formed in 2001, with the goal of bringing video game systems and games to children's hospitals.
You can submit a bid for the chance to win this tour by sending an e-mail to officetour@ccpgames.com with the amount that you would like to bid. The minimum starting bid is $1,000 and the closing date for bids is 23:59 UTC on Tuesday, 8 March, 2011. The winner will be contacted by mail on Wednesday, March 9, 2011."

I don't know about you, but the Fanfest in 2006I  think was the best time i've ever had. The only problem is that the drinks cost about £7 for a single beer...

From Way Back When...

Eve can really really upset people...

Incursion 1.2 is going live....

EVE Online: Incursion 1.2 will be deployed during an extended downtime on Tuesday, February 15. Tranquility will be offline from 10:00 UTC and is expected to be online at 13:00 UTC.
Incursion 1.2 will bring a host of much requested optimizations including enhancements for clones and jump clones, market improvements, the return of character portrait capturing in game and much more. Details on these optimizations can be found on the main Incursion page.
A full list of patch notes will be announced at a later date.

From the mouth of CCP Fallout.... A 2004 returns..

"EVE Online: Incursion 1.1.0 brought the new character creator to the masses, and players have continued to wow us with their amazingly gorgeous (and sometimes not so gorgeous) portrait creations. The forums have been a complete inferno of discussion regarding the detailed eye candy players and developers have made, and it hasn't taken long for a new Web site to hit the Intertubes featuring the beauty that is The Babes of New Eden. This "Hot or Not" site allows you to vote on your favourite female portraits, proving, once again, that life in space can be quite lonely."

If anyone, like me, has been away from the game for a while the new Avatar creation is for many times better than the old one it is almost gob-smacking. I really suggest you get in there and start creating again...
